Climate Change Adaptation: Why do we need it and what are we doing?

On May 1st, 2024, CALL member Dr. Jennifer Penney presented on the topic: Climate Change Adaptation: Why do we need it and what are we doing? 

Activists rightly prioritize reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the fight against climate change. However successful we are in reducing emissions, climate change is already endangering us and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. We need to understand these dangers and advocate for action that makes our communities less vulnerable.

Dr. Jennifer Penney shared with us ways to make our communities more adaptive and resilient and what the federal and provincial governments are doing (or not doing) to get us there.
